Heidi Montag is really the real-life Barbie. She’s got the blond hair, the long and curvy body, and, quite literally, the plastic to boot! If you ask anyone, the woman’s just had a little too much plastic surgery already. It’s no secret that the starlet has already had more than 10 cosmetic jobs done. With DDD breast implants, a brow lift, a second nose surgery, abdominal liposuction, thigh and buttocks augmentation all done in one day—talk about a media frenzy!
At some point, the starlet’s passion for plastic surgery may be understandable. A lot of celebrities are into the current plastic craze; why should Heidi take any flack? And with all the advancements in the cosmetic world, all the new procedures proclaimed to be a lot safer and far more effective; there should be nothing alarming with what Heidi’s doing. After all, if you can have the perfect body, why not?
But with the blonde’s announcement of her plans to go under the knife once again for even bigger implants, you just know that celebrity plastic surgery is getting out of hand. A line just has to be drawn somewhere, and psychiatrist’s are calling that line BDD for Body Dysmorphic Disorder.
According to experts, Heidi Montag’s obsession with plastic surgery may be a sign that the actress is suffering from this psychiatric problem. Body Dysmorphic Disorder is a condition wherein the person has a distorted self-image. Where we see perfect body, she may see fat and ugly.
People who suffer from BDD will go to extreme lengths just to satisfy their tragically insatiable need to remedy their bodily ‘imperfections’. In fact, they’re endangering their own health with the things their putting their bodies through. After her 10 procedures, it was reported that Heidi Montag was restricted from engaging in normal activities such as jogging. The measures people like Heidi take may be just too far over the edge of reason.
