Rhode Island’s institutions for higher education are widely known for their prominence in special areas. Brown University, for instance, is known for its science, medical, and engineering programs; the Rhode Island School of Design for its art and design curriculum; and the University of Rhode Island for its engineering, pharmacy, and oceanographic research courses.
Rhode Island Plastic Surgery Industry
The state’s capital, commercial hub and largest metro area are found in Providence. This city is the home of the Ivy League’s Brown University and its graduated medical program at the Alpert Medical School. In addition, one of the school’s physicians has a private plastic surgery practice in the city.
Several of the city’s plastic surgeons still actively work with one or more of the local hospitals. Brown’s medical school, for instance, has teaching and staffing roles in seven of the hospitals in the area. As in other states, most Rhode Island surgeons have established their own cosmetic surgical outpatient clinics.
However, although they maintain their own offices and surgical suites, some like to give patients the option to have the surgical procedure in a hospital. The Specialties of Plastic Surgeons in Rhode Island
Some of Providence’s plastic surgeons maintain offices in other states as well, namely Connecticut. Still, Rhode Island may be a tiny state, but it has a major city that can provide residents the aesthetic surgical procedure they are looking for.
Further, many of the city’s surgeons are specialists: one clinic may focus only on facial procedures like eye lifts, face lifts, and Botox fillers; another may specialize only in body sculpting – a treatment that combines a combination of methods.
For instance, a breast lift or a tummy tuck would be combined with liposuction in the thigh area. For surgeries that require a combination of different treatments, a doctors that are experienced in every kind of cosmetic surgery is needed.
Warwick is another of Rhode Island’s population centers, which is also home to a number of plastic surgeons. In fact, one of the Warwick clinics has been run by a group of doctors who maintain offices in other New England states. As with Providence clinics, Warwick clinics also practice by specialty. Some doctors concentrate on facial surgeries and fillers, while others focus on breast reconstruction, such as breast augmentation or reduction, and body sculpting.
Although Rhode Island may be relatively small based on land area, both ends of the state provide aesthetic surgery options that make up for it.
